When Did Amateurs & Idiots Become More Trustworthy Than Masterful Experts?

Welcome to 2024 — a real-life Idiocracy right before our eyes. Every day is global systemic gaslighting. And if you think I’m being melodramatic, then maybe reconsider what reality you’re living in today.

During 2023, I finally realized we entered a new era of human devolution when I witnessed daily how egregious fake-ass leaders executed numerous agendas and legislation to undermine common decency, dismantle equity, fear-monger the masses, and proclaim illogical hyperemotional opinions as facts. What started as a social experiment over 15 years ago to help people meet and come together, social media now reigns supreme for sowing the most discord and toxic cancel-culture. It seems like every other day someone is being dragged to the digital guillotine, and meanwhile on the other side of it, pubescent youth flock by the millions to record and post their most awkward and goofiest selves dancing or showing make-up tutorials as hobbies.

Does anyone else find it disturbing that 86% of young Americans want to become a social media “influencer” for their future career? I find it quite disappointing that hard work and quality skills are no longer valued in our prevailing culture.

Side note, is it really that wise to post pictures of your children from birth to adulthood, at every milestone, when we know all that data is being stored and sold to third parties for reasons you will never know? It seems like after fighting decades for civil rights and privacy protections, all it took was a little neat check-box next to long-ass Terms of Conditions and Privacy Statements to simply give those rights away in an instant!

Another consideration to ponder, the World Economic Forum is now discussing how water is being labeled as a “common good” and discussions of a future water shortage is expected for the global economy. Think I’m joking? Watch this. The question is, how is it possible to have a shortage of a natural element, neither created nor destroyed, and covers more than 70% of our planet? The answer is industrial pollution and extremist capitalism. Even still, it’s difficult to accept the fact that billions of people lost a free abundant resource to the control of maniacal narcissistic psychopaths.

Let’s not forget the rising inflation that’s affecting every working-class household. The cost of bread, milk, and eggs has soared to an all-time high of nearly 25% combined yearly increase in the United States within the last three years alone. Couple that with hundreds of thousands of layoffs in the workforce in the last year and what do we have? College-educated people driving Uber/Lyft or delivering fast food through Door Dash for low pay, no tips, and shitty hours. When workers tried to unionize Amazon, all it took was throwing a little money to make C-suite accountability disappear.

Surely you’re told this is all just happening just because, but that’s not true. Our economy is being intentionally tanked to induce profits and large bonuses for less than 1% of the population at the expense of growing poverty and illness among the 99%. The masses are just too sick, tired, and distracted to give a damn.

This brings me to my final point — Google/YouTube, Wellness “Influencers” (mostly jobless 20-somethings living with their parents), and a dude without any medical degree but claims he is a “Medical Medium” saving the world with celery juice, are all more likely to be trusted for medical advice and treatment than actual doctors and nurses who spent thousands of hours, money and practice. Why is the Dunning-Kruger Effect stronger than ever?

Maybe it’s because people rather safeguard their precious egos than face the truth of mediocrity or pursue self-growth. The devolving shift in consciousness we’re witnessing is evidence of how sick our civilization is as a collective. Pervasive physical, mental, and spiritual illness infects the values and health of a society.

Until we can collectively recognize:

  1. Truth has greater value than entertainment, deception, and escapism.
  2. Being overly emotional and dismissively avoidant spoils the option to evolve with grace and mindfulness.
  3. The health of a community reflects its quality of leadership and governance. Sick societal values/morals will cause poverty and illness.

Then the reign of the Idiocracy Supreme will endure along with burning the last bit of common sense and banned progressive books that dare to question the status quo.
