In the world of sexual wellness, we always hear about tips for boosting libido or having great sex, but what about afterwards?

Post-sex wellness is a largely overlooked topic, but I’m giving it some love today (pun intended)! It’s important to take care of your body, especially genitals, after sex to support a healthy sex life.

Below are natural wellness tips on how to enjoy post-sex bliss a little longer and keep the love train moving:

1. Cuddle Therapy

Cuddles and snuggles post-sex help boost endorphins and oxytocin levels for the ultimate post-sex euphoric high. Even with quicky sex, spare a couple moments for some cuddle therapy to intensify the bliss. Trust me, good cuddlers usually get more sex!

2. Hydrate

Drink at least 16–20 ounces of water with electrolytes post-sex to restore hydration after letting the juices and sweat flow. Hydration also helps improves blood flow, energy and stamina which lends to more pleasurable sex.

3. Urinate Before & After Sex

Taking the time to urinate before and after sex may help reduce risk of urinary tract infections (UTIs) and genital irritation. It’s a good practice for all genders because it helps to clear out fluids, bacteria and other microbes exchanged during sex.

4. Use CBD Oil

CBD Oil can be used for more than a sensual massage. It’s great to use on the external genitalia to reduce post-sex tenderness and inflammation. Always buy a high quality oil with ingredients safe to use for sensitive areas. Never apply anything with peppermint, camphor or other strong essential oils to avoid skin irritation and burning.

5. Ice, Ice Baby

Consider applying an ice pack to tender areas after vigorous sex (this is for you HoneyMooners!). Especially, if you experience any swelling or redness post-sex. A cool sitz bath can be soothing too.

The next time you’re about to enjoy a love-making session, be sure to apply these tips and see what a different it makes.
